Sharon Kelly is an Irish artist whose work encompasses drawing, painting, print, installation, sculpture and moving image. She is based at QSS Studios, Belfast, and County Armagh.

Kelly’s practice mediates between memory, experience and imagination exploring ideas of fragility, resilience and the synergy between mind and body. Her work is deeply informed by personal experience, and draws inspiration from diverse sources such as sport - in particular boxing and running - and other sources such as dressmaking and medicine.

In November 2023 she was awarded the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Major Individual Award. Recent research and work has been supported by The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, New York, USA. In 2023 she completed a fellowship at the British School at Rome, Italy.
